All the following testimonials are ONLY from those who have trained with me personally. I have not published full names as I don't know at what stage each student feels ready to declare themselves as a fully-fledged, open-for-business image consultant and some may be studying purely for their own personal improvement anyway, but I have kept every single email, letter and card so any of these testimonials can be verified as being real!

Comments from lovely ladies who have trained with Improvability
"Thank you so much for an amazing two days, I loved your passion and your unique teaching style. Thank you again for your everything, your knowledge, wisdom and patience! I thought I'd found the right person when I came across your website and now I KNOW! p.p.s Yes my brain still hurts but I'm pleased to say it's too excited to worry about it!" Suzie, Cambridge, UK (Feb 10)
"Just a short note to thank you so very much for the fantastic 2 days. Down-loading just 5% of your brain was an amazing experience. I slept well last night, and as you said have come home to washing/children/mess and true carnage! I look forward to receiving my drapes and getting cracking next week. A couple of people have booked in." Susannah, E. Sussex, UK (Feb 10)
"Thank you for a brilliant course - I haven't had time to draw breath since I got back! Yes, my brain HAS been working overtime, I'm going to sit down over the weekend when I've got some peace and quiet, read through my notes, download all the bits and pieces I need to and begin to put my newfound knowledge into operation. Oh, and run a half marathon too! It was lovely to meet and spend time with you and Tracey. I will be in regular touch with both of you to let you know how I'm getting on. I feel that I gained a wealth of know-how this week, so thank you for your expertise and guidance, and for the fun way that you put it all together! I am still really excited. P.S. I think you'd be very pleased with the dramatic/creative look I am sporting today!" Sara, Reading, UK (Feb 10)
"Thanks for a very inspiring few days. I just love the way you let the course take its natural route and do not insist on following a strict programme. You made it very easy to ask questions (and we know I did a lot of that!), and to go over things. I did manage to do some practice at the weekend if only on myself and my partner! We had a really good wardrobe weedout - found it quite theraputic, and at least we know now what we are looking for when we go shopping again I am hoping to work on my mind mapping this week and begin to put together a 'programme' to offer clients. Thanks once again." Tracey, Bristol, UK (Feb 10)
"Thanks so much for the course last week. I thoroughly enjoyed the time with you. Your enthusiasm and knowledge is inspiring. My brain has been on overload for the last few days. I got the file out this morning and went over the notes. It's starting to slot into place. Whilst watching TV over the weekend it was impossible to not try to guess which season people were!! Celebs are rather confusing because they change their hair colour! Do you do a course on make-up? I would love to do additional training with you. Please keep me informed of future courses. I have to thank you again. Your method of teaching and your flexibility in attitude already has left me feeling so much more confident in my abilities." Carole, Northants, UK (Nov 09)
"Thanks very much for a great 3 days, I really enjoyed the course and feel very encouraged to move forward with this business. As you can imagine I'm a little frustrated that I can't get going immediately but as you recommended I need to get the business side sorted first, and as I am still working I understand that it will take a little longer to build. I will let you know how I progress. Thanks once again - you were an inspiration!" Tracey, Bristol, UK (Nov 09)
"Thanks a lot. I loved the course, your enthusiasm on
the subject of colour is infectious and I feel very positive about
the opportunities available to me now, rather than just dreading the
time slipping away until my return to the office job after the year.
You are right, my brain is working overtime although not much time
to actually do much else at the moment. Just my name on the Diploma
would be great. I am thinking of business names since I read your email
but don't want to rush into something yet. What are your thoughts on
a website for the business e.g. what should go on it, is it a good
marketing tool? Once again thanks a lot, will be in touch." Deborah,
Edinburgh, UK (Nov 09)
"Thanks for a great three days, it was a really valuable experience, not only to learn more about ladies style, but the marketing tips that I can use in The Day Job as well – and of course revealing so much more about me as a person. Anyway, I’m up and running with the hair idea, I think it's a great way to alert people to what I’m doing generally, if they don’t already know, as well as a fantastic opportunity in itself. I’ve drafted up an email which I’m proposing to send out to a bunch of ladies, all friends and some of whom have had their colours done with me. Anyone who expresses interest will be offered the style personality workshop beforehand so they know a bit about what they are before they go. I know you’re super busy but would you have a few minutes to look over this and offer any observations?" Kate, Edinburgh, UK (Oct 09)
"Arrived home safely and immediately got cracking with the studio ! It's all go at the moment. I would like the diplomas for both (Colour and Ladies' Style) courses please. As far as my two friends go, D comes in on Thursday but I have already had a full run through with my husband, poor thing. Really enjoyed both courses, just trying to put my stamp on the knowledge learnt now, which I know will take time so thanks again for all your help. I'm sure I'll get there." Mary, Blackburn, UK (Oct 09)
"Thanks for the emails regarding the VIP Image Consultants area etc, I’m about to give it a whirl! My mind is beginning to settle down a bit after the course, but it’s still all very exciting! I’ve been playing with drapes this afternoon, and having great fun! Thanks so much for a thoroughly interesting and enjoyable couple of days and please pass on my appreciation of Neil’s lunches, they were delicious." Kate, Edinburgh, UK (Apr 09)
"A big thank you for the two training days. I learned so much, not ony abut colour but about myself. I will begin my studying and memorising in the the next few days. I keep looking at people in a very different way now - really interesting. I think the lady on the front cover of this card is a Bright Winter!" Alison, Stoke-on-Trent, UK (Mar 09)
"Hi Kim Just a line to thank you for a very enjoyable two days' training and for your and Neil's hospitality and alongside the opportunity to help realise my dreams. I find I can't stop analysing everyone's colours. It is fascinating. I'm so glad I've finally reached the point of it all. Can't wait to really get stuck in to everything I've learned. No doubt will be in touch soon. Thanks again. My name will be great on the Diploma." Annette, Grimsby, UK (Mar 09)
"Thoroughly enjoyed my 2 days with both you and B. I learned a lot and am looking forward to putting it all into practice once I've memorised it all - the learning begins now!" Alison, Stoke-on-Trent, UK (Mar 09)
"A belated ‘Thank you’ for the two days we spent with you. I particularly enjoyed this course, especially finding out about myself and my style, which incidentally I quite like!! I must like a little mystery! I will be using some of the info on a training programme next week, I have yet to plan the day but I’m sure it will be wonderful." JG, Birmingham, UK (Feb 09)
"I had to write and thank you for two of the most wonderful training
days I've had in a long time. It was quite simply excellent. Many thanks
for sharing so much of yourself with us. It made it so real. I am
really excited about what I can do with this knowledge. thank you for
your support and belief in me. I must tell you, you are a superb role
model, a beautiful woman inside and out." YG, London, UK (Feb UK)
"I carried out a style course on Tuesday and the ladies absolutely loved
in and in fact want me to do colour and shape with them. Its exactly
as you say...theatre! all great fun and lucrative too!" YG, London, UK
(Mar 09)
"It was great to meet you and I really did enjoy the course. I felt exhausted when I got back, there is so much to think about. Tried the analysis out for the first time today! The first friend that came was Spring(ish) with some Autumn thrown in. We both decided that she was extremely lucky to have so many colours to choose from!! Another friend came later and although she normally wears Autumn colours she was a Summer. I felt much more confident and she went away excited about trying out the new colours." Yvonne, Market Drayton, UK (Feb 09)
"Thank you for a great two days, I must admit my head is spinning with all the information and ideas. You won't be at all surprised to hear that L was busy reading her manual on the journey home and wanted me to test how much she had learnt! I am going to give my brain a rest for a couple of days! I would just like my name on my diploma please. I am sure I will be getting in touch again very soon." JB, UK (Feb 09)
"Can I take this opportunity
to thank you both for everything. I really enjoyed the 2 days and really
appreciate how you made me feel so at home in your home. You welcomed
me into your home and made everything so relaxed and fun to learn.
Kim, your vast knowledge and years of experience shone through all
the time and I feel privileged to be able to learn from that. Your
personality is brilliant and I have taken away a load of ideas and
knowledge from you.
Neil, thanks again for the yummie food, much appreciated.
I would like just my name on the diploma please.
Once again a big big thank you to you both. Would not hesitate to recommend
your training programme to anyone, it is so unique." BW, Northern
Ireland (Nov 2008)
"It was a great two days, thanks. I am definitely going
to meet up with M again soon. I have had a request, today, to go and
speak to a women's business network meeting which is a fantastic opportunity and
I am having no problem thinking about how I will pitch it! It resulted
from my making a plea for women to present a professional image and
to get on to men's territory with more confidence, as part
of a training day on Networking. Also, two women asked for my contact
details. Not bad for the day after training, so you have clearly done
something right!! When I have the date (months ahead I think) there
may be a couple of points I would like to check out with you, so hope
you won't mind. Something occurred to me today but I will wait until
my head clears.
Thanks so much Neil for the
VIP
Image Consultants stuff. If I come unstuck I will give you a shout!
Could I take this opportunity to also thank you for the splendid hospitality
we received from you - it was much appreciated and didn't go unnoticed.
Thanks for your support. Re the Diploma, could I have my name and the
business name on please.
Thanks." VM, Warrington (Oct 08)
"Just a quick line to say how very much I enjoyed the last two
days (Ladies' Style) - I arrived on Monday expecting the usual 'if
you're this shape you wear such-and-such a cut of jacket' etc - SILLY
ME!!! So
much more and wonderful insights into how to pitch my business."
MKB, Liverpool (Oct 08)
Yes, brain in top gear whizzing here, there and everywhere! Have
been frantically mind mapping courses and workshops before the ideas
disappear. Just my name on the diploma please - and yes, I'm staring
at every lady I see redressing her in my mind - in the nicest possible
way of course! I went to my Mastermind group last evening - wearing a
red camisole top and overblouse with brown trousers and my dramatic jewellery
- haven't been able to find red shoes yet as that means a trip into Liverpool
or Southport - or both! I also dug out my red lipstick and
the comments from people about how good I looked was quite embarrassing
but so good to receive - I also felt some of the men who beforehand had
been quite warm-in-a-business-way towards me cooled somewhat - very interesting!
MKB, Liverpool (Nov 08)
"Firstly, a great big thank you for your time at the beginning of the week, I really enjoyed it. My mind is swirling as predicted and I’m looking forward to really getting to grips with it all next week when I clear the backlog of chaos that is currently my life!" LG, Hertfordshire (Oct 08)
"Thank you so much for allowing me to attend your training session. I thought you were absolutely perfect and I have learnt so much. I have come home feeling really confident about taking the colour analysis consultancy forward. I do feel that this is right for me and have been putting lots of thoughts down on paper. I do have good support with my friends at the shop. I plan to give my workshop - just a taster on the 23rd October when we have an open evening at the shop for selected customers. I wish you lived nearer!" JS, Dorset (Oct 08)
"Thank you for an absorbing 2 days and yes I was tired! When I move in September I can start planning how to present my business although my head is swimming with ideas." MT, Gloucestershire (Aug 08)
"Thank you very much for the Ladies' Style course. As last time, it was fantastic: Informative, interesting, fun and very very thought provoking. I must admit I feel much clearer now as to how to approach my business, and how to get the information I am passionate about across to my customers in a style to suit them personally. I am now analysing everyone, and am constantly disappointed in how people are not making the most of themselves, there's definitely work to be done! Thanks again for a fabulous course. I will be in touch soon with more questions, I'm sure." LR, Leeds (Aug 08)
"Thanks once again for another stimulating course. I found it enlightening but my head is buzzing. So much to think about now but I’m eager to move quickly but ensure I do it correctly – you know me!" KA, Scotland (Aug 08)
"Just wanted to drop you a line, now that my brain has stopped buzzing, and say thank you for such an invaluable and enjoyable time. You were generous with your time, your expertise and your ideas. It was great to meet such a vibrant entrepreneur with such passion for her business and a real desire to enable others to become successful. I entirely agree that this business is about so much more than simply colours or image; it’s about transformation and what an exciting business it is! I shudder when I think about the clinical ‘churn them out’ training route that I could have taken. I did my fiance’s colours and really enjoyed it. You are so right – it’s all about shutting up and just listening! I have let my brain vegetate for a bit now and have had a good rest but I suspect that once I get my teeth back into my new venture the questions will come pouring out." RM, USA (July 08)
"Thank you for the e-mail regarding the brand-new training course about Hair for Image Consultants. I will read it with interest. I arrived home safely Tuesday evening exhausted. As you so rightly said, my brain has been working overtime since I got home, telling everyone about my new adventure as a colour consultant. I am going to order my starter pack today, and begin my consultations on my return from holiday around the middle of June. I have got a couple of volunteers to practise on and they are looking forward to it. I just wanted to thank you once again for your hospitality over the two days." TS, UK (May 08)
"Thanks for the newsletter and thanks for a great 2 days. Will be in touch soon." PC, UK (May 08)
"Sorry it has taken so long to reply however since the course my feet haven't touched the ground!! I have my first day free since the Colour course and am heading out to the garden (the sun has come out at last !!!!) to read notes from cover to cover. I was so inspired and definitely would like to join you on Ladies Style training in August." MT, UK (May 08)
"Thanks Kim, another great training course! It has given me lots to think about and am excited about the direction Men's Image may take me in - I just wanted to do it out of interest but I probably will use it - already spoken to lots of men - including my GP this morning who complained that he never got to choose his clothes because his wife always chose them for him - he was wearing a 101 dalmation Disney tie, bless him!" JG, UK (May 08)
"Firstly thank you so much for the last two days. It has been
amazing, I have learnt so much and at the moment am waiting for it
to find some sort of order in my brain. I feel like a child in a sweet
shop, not quite knowing which sweet to eat first, but knowing they
are all great.
Although I do effectively already wear colours which
work for me (which with my current career in costume is a relief),
the make-up and hair came as a total revelation.. and even that lipstick
in the colour (which believe me I will never buy), made me feel amazing.
So if that made me feel so good, I can only imagine how good a lady
who is lost in her colour could feel after a consultation.
You have
also been more generous than I can imagine with your knowledge, and
your paperwork. As I mentioned before in my current industry very few
share anything as we are all in competition... and you know, even though
you didn't say it directly... you're right, I think I could blossom
and be true to Lucy with this new career.
Also thank you Neil for the
fantastic lunch, you make a great team. I know when my brain stops
being tangled wool I will have lots of questions for you." Lucy,
UK (Apr 08)
"I've been absolutely buzzing since the Style course thinking
about style personalities, body shapes and everything else we learned
- just looking forward to an opportunity to put it into practice now!
I shall have a dry run on my (probably!) Creative daughter before attempting
anything with a wider audience though, and I'll need to spend some
time getting all the various handouts and pieces of information to
complete a lady's "Style File" prepared in readiness.
I really
enjoyed the course - a fantastic experience. Thanks so much for a wonderful
and worthwhile 2 days - you must have felt shattered after we'd gone!
Thanks again and best wishes." CE, UK, (Apr 08)
"Hello Kim, thanks so much for the training days, it was brill and yes my brain has been working overtime. I am looking forward to going through the notes and letting it all 'sink in'. I think I will just have my name on the diploma please. Thanks also for helping with the make-up request, I am going to ring Lorna hopefully later today, surprising how things work out isn't it? I am looking forward to meeting her and who knows! Thanks for your help and for being available to give advice. Will let you know how the talk goes, must start sorting out what I'm going to do! Thanks again, will be in touch." CB, Cheshire, UK (Apr 08)
"I can't believe two weeks have gone by since I was a guest at your house. I loved my time with you and I couldn't wait to get back and practice. I had my first client when I left your house, yes the taxi driver. I had to explain that unfortunately, as yet, I was not able to tell him his colours as I needed to see his eyes and actually the rest of his face. I said my next training session might include giving advice to the backs of clients' head! I have been making many notes on what has to be done etc." Dorothy, Glasgow, Scotland (Mar 08)
"I thoroughly enjoyed the colour training this week. My drapes arrived safely, thank you very much." Denise, Northants, UK (Mar 08)
"Thank you very much for a very enjoyable and informative Colour
analysis course, it was fantastic. You didn't seem to leave a thing
out and as I said when I was leaving the only other thing I need now
is to take you home with me!
As for the future, where do I start? You
have certainly put me on the right foot, my head is whizzing, lots
and lots to think about. I am very excited about the prospect of my
new business and can't wait to get started. Style is another course
I want to do as soon as I can. Thank you for your very kind hospitality and
for making me feel
so welcome in your home. Thanks also to Neil for the lovely
lunches he prepared for us. I will be in touch with you when I get
stuck on something, so I'm sure it will be in the next few days." Laura,
Mid Wales (Mar 08)
"My head is in a whirl today after the FANTASTIC training course.
Thank you so much for all your hard work and hospitality. The impact
on me personally, let alone the business potential that has been unleashed,
is huge.
This morning I opened my wardrobe with a new pair of eyes.
Actually, I used the handles, but you know what I mean! I’ve
got to find a way, for now at least of working with what I’ve
got. My work wardrobe is mostly Dramatic/Classic and I’m trying
to give it a Creative twist. Please see the attached photo. This skirt,
I haven’t
worn for a while (don’t know why). I love the colour combination,
but wonder what you think. Does it fit with my Creative/Dramatic smart
daytime/visiting clients style needs?" PG, UK (Jan 08) who trained
in August 2007 with our DVD-based Colour Analysis self-study
package and followed that up 5 months later with our face-to-face
training course in Ladies' Style.
"Thanks again for the brilliant two days. My brain is starting to recover, so many ideas. Have not even attempted to look through anything. Am leaving it all till next week when I can give a good chunk of time going through the manual. Went to a ladies' meeting today and my friend happened to mention the colour training; it was like moths to a flame. You know exactly what I mean I'm sure. I think just my name on the diploma please. Will be in touch, thanks again." CB, UK (Nov 07)
"Thank you so much for the 'Style' course which I thoroughly enjoyed. You are, and you delivered 'exactly what it says on the tin'! - a simple, sure fire way of getting started - soon! My, hitherto, reservations of operating from home have also been blown away - if you and Neil can run Improvability from your home I need to just get on with it! Thank you both for your hospitality - lunch hasn't been the same since!" Jane, UK (Oct 07) who trained in Colour in August 2007 with our DVD-based self-study package and followed that up two months later with our face-to-face training course in Ladies' Style.
"Hi Kim, Thank you so much.. it was a wonderful course and presented and executed beautifully... I cant wait to get started but careful not to stretch myself too much .. have taken on board all your suggestions and will be practising when I get home on Friday. Thank you once again and I am sure that we will have a very prosperous and fruitful relationship. You are a great teacher." Julie, UK (Oct 07)
"I’ve not stopped buzzing since leaving you and have talked at my husband incessantly! He has grounds for divorce for the number of times I’ve said “Kim says!”. Seriously thank you so much for the last two days and teaching me so much. I had a wonderful time and can’t wait to get started. I’ve already been at my own wardrobe and found combinations of clothes I never knew existed." Angela, UK (Oct 07)
"Am so enjoying my colour consultations, and it's all thanks to you! I get such an adrenaline rush (almost like being on stage!!). Hope to return in the near future for my Style training." Angela, UK (Dec 07)
"Thank you so much for the course. I fel that I learned a lot - and still have so much to learn. My 22-year-old son was asking what I had been doing on the course so I told him. He usually wears black, which I can now see doesn't really suit his dark hair colouring and his beautiful blue eyes. I suggested that he wear something a bit lighter next to his face and lent him a pale t-shirt that is massive on me. He put it on and immediately I could see how his face lit up and the blue of his eyes was much more prominent. Before I saw you I would not even have thought about trying to influence what he wore. He would have immediately have done the opposite. But maybe there is hope. I have said that I would help him again. Not sure that he will ever let me talk for more that about 10 minutes about clothes and colours, but one step at a time... I am sure I will have lots of questions for you over the next months. Thanks again for your inspiration. I'll let you know how I am getting on in due course." Deborah, UK (Sep 07)
"I really enjoyed the course. Julie and I were talking colour and style all the way home." Ingrid, UK (Sep 07)
"Thanks for another great course! I learned so much and am amazed how much more addicted to style I am! I can't stop analysing people's body shapes - hope it's not too obvious to the people I'm studying as I do want to make a name for myself and promote my business but don't want a prison sentence! Julie, UK (Sep 07)
"Thank you so much for sharing so much knowledge and experience with Yvonne and myself. I found it extremely enjoyable and am really looking forward to practising on my friends and family. I am really looking forward to 'getting going' I will let you know how we get on along the way. Once again thank you for your kind hospitality." Jacynth, Birmingham (Jun 07)
"Thank you for what was an inspiring and enlightening two days. I thoroughly enjoyed the course and would definitely recommend it. I have been busy analysing and critiquing people on the underground. I am really excited about the possibilities of being an image consultant and will start practising as soon as possible." Yvonne, London (Jun 07)
"Thanks for a great Men's Image course, we got home fine on Sunday and I’ve been playing catch up this week. I thoroughly enjoyed myself and know it will assist my male client offering." Andrea, Isle of Man (Jun 07)
"Thank you also for the Ladies' Style and Men's Image courses. They've given me a lot to think about too so I'll be pondering a lot these next few days." Sarah, Derbyshire, UK (Jun 07)
"Great to see you again and really enjoyed the course, was great fun and has given me lots to think about! We seem to be securing a lot more corporate type work so the Men's Image will fit perfectly with what we are trying to achieve." Louise, Derby, UK (Jun 07)
"Thanks again for everything. I really enjoyed the style course and can't wait to get my first clients!!" Emma, UK (Jun 07)
"Thank you for your e-mail, I had a great time with yourself
and Kirstie. It has made me even more motivated and determined to be
a fabulous consultant! I was out last night and got talking to some
girls; when I told them what I did for a living they were very interested,
so I have arranged a workshop for next month! I know - a little ambitous,
I hear you say, but I am giving myself 4 weeks to prepare, do a few
friends and family first, then hopefully I should get some money coming
in while enjoying myself. I will be e-mailing you for advice and help
before the day if that's ok.
Anyway, again thank you for the great training,
I really did enjoy myself and went away with tons of information." Julie,
Weymouth, UK (May 07)
"Being the 'true Autumn' I am I just wanted to email to say a BIG thanks for your time over the last two days. It was intense but I really loved it. It made perfect sense and I can't wait to get going. Your approach to training is first class and the pictures you paint are vivid and relevant which makes the information so much easier to retain. Thank you. No doubt I will email and call again but in the meantime I wish you and Neil well. His help was appreciated too of course! My chocolate levels are at an all time high! See you. And you too deserve a rest after devoting so much time to us." Kirstie, Edinburgh, UK (May 07)
"Just a note to say thank you very much for two fantastic days. The course was fun and informative and your excellent approach made the concept so much easier to understand. I feel truly inspired and can't wait to get started." YB, Berkshire, UK (Apr 07)
"Thanks for a wonderful two days, I had a fabulous time. I rested all of yesterday and now I am getting ready for action!" OO, London, UK (Mar 07)
"Chris and I thoroughly enjoyed the course and are in the process of booking some people to gain some experience." Lorraine, West Midlands, UK (Mar 07)
"Thanks to Kim for the wealth of information, to Neil for your housekeeping and to you both for your hospitality." Jenny, Northumberland, UK (Mar 07)
"I want to say a big thank you for the colour course last week.
I enjoyed every minute of it!! Since I've returned home I've been busy
getting my studio and documents ready and have practised on 3 people
so far. My confidence has grown in a week and that's all down to you!
I
plan to really get my teeth into starting up my business and although
I'm still a little worried I might 'get it wrong' I know I have to
be kind to myself while I'm still learning. Once I start taking payment
then I know I've always got you for back-up. Thank you also for my
certificate. I can't wait to get it framed - I feel really proud of
myself." Emma, Buckinghamshire, UK (Feb 07)
"Just wanted to say a massive THANK YOU for a really enjoyable and informative 2 days. You are a very inspirational lady and Lou and I are really fired up and ready to make our mark so to speak but is the world ready for us??! Will you also thank Neil for the fabulous food - came home so stuffed that I haven't eaten anything else! Boy oh boy, think I need to go back to weight watchers!!! Once again, many thanks for the referrals - we wont let you or the clients down, we promise, and, no doubt we will be picking your brains if we get stuck. Can't wait until I can afford the men's style hopefully later this year followed by corporate next year, if not sooner." Jay, Belper, UK (Jan 07)
Thank you so much for Monday and Tuesday. I know Jay had mailed you already but just wanted to add how fun and informative it was and we're looking forward to putting all of these things in to practice - that's when my poor brain has had time to recover." Louise, Belper, UK (Jan 07)
"I had a decent journey home thanks - just about recovered now!
I've said au revoir to the London office - with a number of ladies
expressing firm interest in a Tonal Taster session, and in having their
individual colours done, so I'll be following that up to get definite
dates organised over the next few days. I finally leave work on 30th
- after which I shall be a full time Image Consultant.
I'm feeling very
excited and enthusiastic about the future, and would like to say again
how much I enjoyed the 2 days with you this week. I've been reading
and re-reading the manual, looking through the drapes and wallets,
and thinking about everything we covered. Can't wait to start putting
it into practise now! Thanks again." CE, Chelmsford,
UK (Jan 07)
"Just got home and finished journey with fish and chips! Nice
treat to end a great couple of days! Am tired but can't sleep! Colour
analysis keeps going through my mind, wonder why?
I had a great girly
evening with my friend last night and she was delighted to empty her
wardrobe of all her favourite clothes. It also gave me a bit of confidence
to start using my new skills!
Thanks so much to you, and of course to
Neil, for the past couple of days. I had a great time and learned so
much. Am sure this is just the beginning too and am looking forward
to learning much more about colour, psychology and personality types
as well as getting to meet lots of interesting people along the way
- may also make some money too! Once I have mastered the colour aspect
my intention is to do style analysis but time will tell. At the moment
I see so many opportunities to use colour analysis and am looking forward
to exploring and expanding my ideas in that.
Am sure you will hear a
lot from me in the coming days and weeks, etc. Thanks again, you offer
a great service." Julie, Grimsby,
UK (Jan 07)
"Once again a very enjoyable and educational 2-day (Ladies' Style) training course. I'm very excited about my new venture for the new year. It was good to hear some feedback from Jane who had already embarked on colour workshops. It is also very reassuring to know that you are only an email or call away." Carol, Cambridge, UK (Dec 06)
"Thanks for the course, which was excellent and which we really enjoyed. We have identified some potential "victims" for our first efforts, so we are looking forward to putting what we have learnt into practise." VF and SJ, Bristol, UK (Nov 06)
"A belated thank you for a great day on Tuesday - you got me thinking about possibilities again which is just what I needed. I am going to try some of it out next week and know that it will help toward my overall coaching approach." Caroline, Cheshire, UK (Nov 06)
"I really did enjoy meeting you and learnt so much during those 2 days, thank you. I would like to know details of your image workshop and availability." Stephanie, Hampshire, UK (Nov 06)
"I keep meaning to email you as I have what seems like a million
questions to ask but I thought I would wait as I haven't had a lot
of time to spend with the drapes and getting familiar what with everything
else going on. Saying that, though, I have taken the manual to work
with me every day and read it madly and each time I read something
that I missed before. I have analysed my boyfiend very briefly but
am spending more time this weekend to finish him but when I get round
to my friends, no doubt I will be in touch again.
I also wanted to say
what fun I had on the course. It was really great to meet you and to
make some contact with similar ladies to me. I am really excited about
my colour business getting off the ground; in fact I have thought of
nothing else really and yes in the middle of the night too! I will
let you know how I get on with my first few sessions." Sarah,
Surrey, UK (Oct 06)
"Just a quick note to say thank you for the last 2 days, it was excellent, I really enjoyed it and am buzzing! I look forward very much to my Style training and then to putting everything into practice." Carol, Cambridge, UK (Oct 06)
"Have to say "brains is jam" (strawberry of course - bright + warm). Did the first one on my mum on Sunday. Anyway last week's course was great - loved the professional approach - not too girly (yuk). Thanks and regards." Melanie, Lancashire, UK (Oct 06) "Thanks - done 2 more! - they seemed happy, and guess what... I bought a red top on the strength of it! Thanks for the certificate and absolutely charming letter - I have taken the cert to be framed." (Oct 06)
"Thank you for a wonderful two days - it was lovely to meet you and I really enjoyed myself. Melanie and Sarah were really nice and it was just so good to spend time with like-minded people (although we're all completely different!). I'm really looking forward to getting started with the colour analysis. My friend came round and couldn't wait to have her colours done - so I thought I'd have a "play"! Anyway, although I had in mind what I thought she was - I had a gut instinct - which (as you said I would) I ignored as I wasn't confident, especially when the colours came out - and I ended up doing a complete circle where the only season I was sure she wasn't was Spring. Please have a look at her photo and let me know what you think the possibilities are - I told her what I thought she was - but I want to see if I'm right! Look forward to hearing back from you Kim - it really helps to know that you're there." Lisa, Hertfordshire, UK (Oct 06)
"Two G&Ts quickly cured the headspin! I hopped up full of your inspiration this morning and went to my make-up demo kit. Chose a new creamy foundation, spicy blush and coral pink lippy. Looked 'fab' all together and defnitely brings out a bit of Spring 'mischielf' in my eyes. I spontaneously grinned into the mirror and said, "Thanks, Kim!"" out loud!! Finally I can go out shopping and indulge my cravings for those exotic warm colours - moving on from the watered down versions I currently have and helping me 'rescue' all my greys that cost too much to ditch just yet." Joanna, Tasmania, Australia (Jul 06)
"Many apologies for not having contacted you sooner but life
has been somewhat challenging since I did my course with you. I did
my make-up course and thought of you everyday as my face was covered
with Autumn colours by every student that worked on me. The tutors
had no idea about colour and it really shocked me. I thought it was
their business to understand colour. It really made me appreciate all
that you have taught me and hope in the next year as I work with people
and gain my confidence, to develop make-up information to integrate
with your colour categories (which by the way is the most brilliant
way to understand colour).
I'm getting ready to go back to Australia
in mid August and can't wait to have my freedom and space again. I
am so thankful for my time with you and can't wait to get my business
up and running in Australia once I get settled in a home. I have a
huge network of people all around Australia and really want to do well.
I'm still wanting to both work at home and be mobile around Australia,
but it will take a bit of time to get things sorted out. As I won't
be in the UK anymore is there a way of me doing any further training
with you via the phone or web cam? Anyway hope life is treating you
both well. Thank you so much, All the best." Kristy, UK/Australia
(Jul 06)
"Thanks for last week's training. It has energised me no end
(can you imagine where I'd get any more energy from?!) and I have already
lined up my first client for Tuesday morning. It's given me so much
confidence that I've made the right decision to get into this line
of work and, as you so rightly say, it's the icing on the whole image
cake.
I shall definitely stay in touch. In the meantime, enjoy your
gin and tonic with your lovely Neil, you are a terrific team!" Natalia,
Halifax (Jul 06)
"I've attached a few questions! I must admit, I left your workshop
with a whole lot more but!, when I went over my notes, I realised that
you answered almost all of them!
I'm rarely satisfied. Certainly was
with your training and would certainly recommend it to others. One
woman called Sharon has decided to train with you after my enthusiastic
report....thank you." Andrea, Manchester,
UK (Jul 06)
"Just a note to say thank you for a great two days. You made me feel very welcome, gave me lots of ideas, and are a lovely person to be around. Lots of fun!! Take care Kim. Will keep in touch." Michelle, Bolton, UK (Jul 06)
"Just wanted to say many thanks for the very interesting course the last two days... I thoroughly enjoyed it!!! Looking forward to making it a good business.. I hope even though I'm very nervous about the advertising and marketing side to it... Just hope I get some clients... Thank Neil for the lovely lunches & choc treats.. Hopefully speak soon." Hazel, Chesterfield, UK (Jul 06)
"I am so enjoying myself at the moment, even though I feel slightly
nervous before consultations, worrying that I may send the client away
with a wrong diagnosis - but I say to them that if they are at all
uncertain, to come back and we'll check again (don't know if this is
the right thing to do, but I would rather see the lady again than leave
her unhappy), and I hope to become more confident as time passes.
Incidentally,
I love your (consultant-only) newsletters, it makes me feel as though
you are just down the road from me and we've been having a chat! Carol,
Penrith, UK (Jun 06)
"Thought I'd let you know I am slowly getting going and growing in confidence daily. Thank you for the prompt delivery of the wallets it is much appreciated. It is so much easier to sell a wallet if you have it for them to take away immediately otherwise I've found the chance is lost. Please send me details of your website for consultants when it becomes available." Wendy, Bucks, UK (Jun 06)
"Did my first full consultation on a non-family member last night and it went well so I'm feeling much better. And she has just rung to say she got so excited with her new colleagues today talking about colour that they asked for my details." Jane, Doncaster, UK (Jun 06)
"I am thrilled to have received my Certificate today. It makes
it feel so much more official! Thank you very much!
I have only had
the one consultation so far (being my Dad!) but because of work commitments,
havent had the chance to do any more. However,
I have started the ball rolling with putting together a company name,
a few business cards and a relative is going to set up a website for
me. Its all very exciting and as soon as things ease up at work,
I cant wait to get stuck in. And as I always say (but never understand):
the best things come to those who wait!
I would love some feedback once
its up and running, so Ill
let you know how its going." Emmeline, Wiltshire, UK (Jun
06)
"Many thanks for the items I ordered I could not believe
how quickly they arrived they were there yesterday when I arrived
home.
Just to let you know I have spoken to my manager with a view to
reducing my working week to three days instead of five, and it looks
as though this will go ahead soon. I still spend every evening pouring
over my manual and getting it all into my head although I think things
will be OK when I start with my consultations.
I have been asked by
about nine of my colleagues to book them into my diary already and
hope to do the first 2 or 3 next week. One of them wants doing before
jetting off back home to New Zealand in August!
I have ordered a couple
of tops for myself and requested some brochures as well also
ordered a revolving display stand and clips for the drapes. I cant
believe its a week since we were sitting
in your lovely lounge, in the middle of our training.
Thanks for the
information about the tonal wallets It is now
a lot clearer, plus Ive been on your web site and watched your
video
It was lovely to see you again. Will be in touch soon." Carol,
Nr. Penrith (Jun 06)
"Thank you so much for my Style course - I loved every minute
and it has really completed the circle for me. Come September, with
my little one at nursery, I am totally prepared to seriously launch.
Having
unpacked my suitcase and come back to reality with a bump, I discovered
that I don't have my certificate. Would you be able to send me one
to display proudly alongside my Colour Diploma?" Rhona,
Wimbledon, UK (Jun 06)
"Just a short email to thank you for such an enjoyable time last
week (and thanks to Neil for the delicious lunches). I am so looking
forward to starting my new venture I am back in the office this
morning and already have had about 30+ ladies wanting to book sessions
already!! I may have to seriously consider leaving my present job altogether.
I
hope I didnt get on your nerves by asking too
many questions, I was frightened I would miss something important.
I have emailed both Ginny and Emmeline to thank them; I couldnt
have asked for two nicer girls to do the training with.
I am about to
register onliine for the supplies and hope to ring for some brochures
for the tops within the next couple of days.
I have read the manual
from cover to cover, both on Sunday and again last night so
frightened that it will leave my head if I dont.
I already have one query can you refresh me please. I hope I
dont become a nuisance with my questions, but I do want to get
it right!" Carol, Nr. Penrith, UK (Jun 06)
"I would like to thank you very much for an inspiring 2 days.
I had a good journey home and a lovely day with my family yesterday,
my first subject being very pleased with the results of their consultation!
Its
still a lot to get my head round, and Im sure I will
have lots of questions, so given time, youll be sure to hear
from me again soon!" Emmeline, Melksham, UK (Jun 06)
"Thanks for the 2 training days. I feel able to start now, albeit slowly... My first few questions follow, although I'm sure there will be more." Jane, Doncaster, UK (May 06)
"Thank you for such an enlightening two days. I really feel that
the information you passed on to me will help develop a successful
business. I only wish I could have stayed home today and made a start!
I
know it sounds daft but can you confirm I am a "Light Bright
Spring"!! With all the other information you gave us I have confused
myself and didn't write it down. Not a good start if I intend doing
this for a living!!!! I'm sure once I have calmed myself and sorted
my drapes I will be fine. Can I ask you to suggest a best colour for
me as I want to pick an outfit for presenting in and would value your
opinion.
Thanks once again for a fantastic two days, I'm sure our paths
will cross again in the not too distant future." Wendy, Bucks,
UK (May 06)
"Thanks so much for all the information. I really enjoyed our day and meeting you. I've got to find some time to look through everything but I have a queue to get their colours done !!! Thanks again and I'll be in touch and let you know how everything goes." Lindsey, Surrey (May 06) after a Colour Refresher course
"I want to tell you both
that I had a great time last week. The training was great. I found
so much useful that I am still buzzing with ideas:
- I realised that I was confusing myself by using too many drapes
in the actual analysis. I am definitely going to find the ones that
work for me and use only them.
-
Also I am still tryng to cover too
much stuff in the first session. I am going to prune the information.
-
And
I don't provide enough for my clients who need to touch the colours
rather than listen or look.
- What else? Change what I say on the 'phone
and in print, and change the way I think about myself.
Thanks for replying
to my emails. I have tucked them away for reference. All in all,
it was a huge success for me. Thanks again." Sue,
UK (May 06) after a Colour Refresher course
"Thank you for a wonderful day, food and tutoring." Diane, UK (May 06)
"I'm enjoying the colours very much and really enjoy the pleasure it gives to people having it done." Marie-Claire, Oldham, UK (Apr 06)
"I have done three consultations so far, two Autumns and Spring. One of the Autumns had been wearing Winter colours all her life, so the consultation was quite a revelation! I am really loving this and have my first paying client booked as a 40th birthday present." Rhona, Wimbledon, UK (Apr 06)
"Thank you so much for such a fascinating and superbly practical course. The delicious biscuits and lunches were also greatly appreciated! I am gathering together more props next week before my Mum becomes my first willing victim. Thank you again." Rhona, London, UK (Mar 06)
"I want to let you know how much I enjoyed the training. I am
in the process of converting the front bedroom into a consulting area
and my husband and me are looking into how to set up a web site and
maintain it. I must admit its all a bit scary coz its out
of my comfort zone but its exciting as well. Ill keep you
posted on progress. Its good to know you are there for trouble-shooting!
Thanks
again for the two days. I felt really comfortable. Thank Neil as well
for the culinary delights and more-ish coffee." Cath,
Stockport, UK (Feb 06)
"Thank you very much for the course, I really enjoyed it and learnt a lot. My mind was a complete munge on the Friday after seeing you (meant in a good way)! When my lady turned up the next morning I thought she is so much a Light Spring, she couldn't possibly be anything else and I was right after seeing her in one drape. Thanks again for last week, no doubt I'll be seeing you again for the style course as that's my next step. Oh and thank you very much for the lovely certificate. I'm going to get it framed asap!" Elaine, Kettering (Jan 05) after a one-day Colour Refresher
"I have to thank you yet again for my day with you. I told my husband, that after being with you for 15 minutes I wanted to run out of your home to the train station, get home and get started. I so know I'm on the right track. As they say, 'nothing before its time.' Thank you again, you'll be hearing from me very soon." Patricia, London (Dec 05) after a one-day Colour Refresher
"Firstly, thanks for a great course, I really enjoyed it and felt so motivated to get started. I now have all my drapes hung up and they look great and just want to keep playing with them all the time!!" Toni, Cambridge, UK (Nov 05)
"Just wanted to say thanks for the certificate it looks great!
I also wanted to say I really enjoyed every bit of the course you ran
for the following reasons:
-
The training manual was easy to read, professionally
presented, there were extra touches such as a typed up invoice at the
back of the manual
-
You made the course fun and entertaining and you
were inspirational
-
You practised what you preached
-
You're a good role model and ideal mentor,
you provided lots of ideas and ways to move our businesses forward
-
You
came across professional and also wanted us to do well and therefore
provide us with open and honest knowledge to ensure we go away feeling
confident to run a successful image consultancy
I would like to thank
you for the time you spent and for being supportive and providing me
with such a good role model as yourself." Julie,
Cheshire, UK (Nov 05)
"The one huge comment I have is how challenging the two days were on a personal level. It has really made me think about my style in relation to my personality. I feel as if I am here in the room and I want to be out on another planet. It also feels very scary to want that. A few challenging months lie ahead." S.C. (Style course - Oct 05)
"Just a note to say a big thank you for a very insightful two
days. The colour training was great and I feel so much more confident.
I have so many ideas buzzing around my head now about my business and
feel very positive and excited. You put a lot of effort in and I really
appreciate that." Carol, London (Sep 05)"I wanted to say
a huge thank you for 2 amazingly stimulating days and for introducing
colour into my life. It is a very powerful experience and I am going
to spend this weekend getting to grips with it further!
You and Neil
are great hosts - making it feel very comfortable at all times and
your experience was a privilege to have had access to. Thanks once
again and I hope this is the beginning of a new.....who knows what??" Caroline,
Cheshire, UK (Sep 05)
Thank you for the last couple of days. I can't wait to put it all into practice now. I have just popped into Tesco and attempted to mentally do the colours of every woman I passed but I think I need a bit more practice yet!" Elaine, Milton Keynes, UK (Aug 05)
"Just wanted to thank you for Friday I was so tired by
the time I got to Derby (early mornings just arent my colour)
but SO excited that when I finally got to bed I just couldnt
sleep. I got up and read my manual twice through the night and analysed
just about everyone I could think of instead of counting sheep!!! Must
be mad! Anyway, cant wait to get started.
I cant believe
I have so much to do at work this week when what I really want to do
is get on with my publicity material and start promoting my colour
work. Esta la vida loca! (or something like that!)
Thanks again Kim,
Im sure Ill be in touch soon and hopefully
see you again for more training in the near future." Michelle,
London, UK (Aug 05)
"One thing I have to share was the huge sense of relief when
you said "Oh Sue, you are not a Spring". I hadn't realised
quite how much it bothered me. No wonder I was worried about my clients
if, inside, I felt I was wrongly diagnosed by the system I was using.
Despite
still having a brain that cannot work properly (not enough sleep),
I decided to send a quick note. I decided that the word to use was
refreshing. How great to see that I don't have to follow the other
company's analysis and that I can give my ladies a positive, helpful
experience. I will keep the other bits that my clients enjoy and then
stick in your bits with a few flourishes of my own. A unique Sue experience
then!
I also think I'll order the tonal drapes from you as I feel I
need more drapes to do this properly.
So helpful, so liberating, so
thanks." Sue, Uttoxeter, UK (Aug
05) after a one-day Colour Refresher
"Just a line to thank you for a very enjoyable few days' training and for your and Neil's hospitality alongside the opportunity and tools to realise my dreams and reason for being. I find I can't stop analysing everyone's colours from people in the street to shop girls to presenters on TV to models in magazines to famous people. It is fascinating and totally absorbing and I'm so glad I've finally reached the point of living it all. No doubt, will be in touch soon." Sara, Newcastle, UK (Jun 05)
"Just wanted to say a big thank you for all your help during the course. You made me feel especially welcome in your home which made learning a lot easier. Can't wait to really get stuck in to everything I've learned. Already a friend has taken my advice and bought a shirt in a colour which really suited him but he would never dreamt of buying! I'll keep you informed of how I get on. It was lovely to meet you." Britta, Clitheroe, UK (Jun 05)
I'm doing well with my colour analysis. I'm just doing friends at the moment; I've done two Autumns. I've hung my certificate on the shop wall and already had enquiries!" Pauline, Leeds, UK (Jun 05)
"Did my first proper, or sort of proper, consultation and it went OK. Mind you it was very easy. I had her spotted as a Winter quite quickly, and that is what she turned out to be. I now have to work on my presentation. The formula which you sent me worked wonderfully, and helped my confidence no end. I didn't feel so out of my depth as I did the first time." Di, Mansfield, UK (Jun 05)
"Thank you so much for a lovely day. The day was very enjoyable. You were a perfect hostess. I had tried out my new skill on my husband and it went well. It will take me time to organise and implement my new service in to the (hair/wedding) business. I am sure I will have lots of questions." Linda, Camberley, UK (May 05)
"You little duck (a Mansfield expression). Thank you so much for your help today. Watching you work was a greater help than you can imagine. Sally departs tomorrow quite pleased that she isn't a 'smut'. Thank you again." Di, Mansfield, UK (May 05)
"Straightforward chart-type explanations which you provided in my training materials are still what I use for my reference during my colour sessions; they are handy and quick to read." Julie, London, UK and now Canada (Apr 05)
"Just about coming round, head feels like mashed potatoes!!, but thoroughly enjoyed the course and eager to get started. Thank you for everything and making the course such a pleasure. Please thank Neil for those fab lattes - could not have got through without them!" Bev, Manchester, UK (Apr 05)
"Great course. Well worth the 400-mile round trip. I have six friends lined up for colour analysis in the next few days - can't wait to get started. Thanks again." SM, Hampshire, UK (Mar 05)
